Hi, I’m Toni, a 23-year-old young professional from Louisville, Kentucky. I currently reside in Lexington, Kentucky with my cat, Penelope, and my boyfriend, Jose, but I still call Louisville home.
I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Integrated Strategic Communication in 2010. After job searching for a long time, I finally found my current job as the Communications Specialist with FHTM, a direct sales company in Lexington. I love my job because I get to write a lot, while dabbling in public relations and event planning, my two real passions. My goal is to be an event-planner full time and to move back to Louisville in the future.
I have always loved entertainment, decorating, fashion, beauty, celebrity gossip, and music. I started watching reality TV, TRL, and awards shows at what was probably too young of an age. My first love, Taylor Hanson, probably contributed greatly to that as well as my dad’s profession as a musician. All of this, combined with my love for “magazine-style” writing and all things uber-girly has propelled my need to have a blog that caters to women in their 20s. Appropriately, I named my blog “The A-List”.
Besides the aforementioned obsessions, I love living in the South, getting dressed up, vintage jewelry, Keeneland/Churchill Downs for some good ol’ horse racing, University of Kentucky basketball and football, Pinterest, John Mayer, HGTV, Michael Kors, the color yellow, nights out, laughter, summertime, Christmastime, witty comebacks, Apple products, sweet tea, and playing tennis.
Most importantly, I love the people in my life more than anything. My family, friends, and boyfriend are what keep me going. I have a strong Catholic faith and continue to develop my relationship with God. Since high school, I have found different ways to give back to those in need and continue to do so whenever possible.
My favorite quote: “I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to go wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I believe in miracles.” -Audrey Hepburn
If you have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to let me know. I look forward to keep improving my posts and blogging as much as possible!
